今回は8/15～8/20までの稚内・利尻・礼文について記事を書いていきます！

This article write 8/15～8/20 Wakkanai・Rishiri・Rebun.
8/15
ANA573便 羽田空港(HND)12:40 – 稚内空港(WAK)14:30で北の果て稚内まで
稚内空港についてすぐに思ったことは、涼しい！！
この日の日中の気温は22度！ 半袖だと少し肌寒いくらいでした！！
I boarded ANA573 Haneda12:40 – Wakkanai14:30
When I arrived Wakkanai Airport, it was so cool.
The temperature during the day time was 22 degrees,so it was a bit chilly wearing short sleeves.
稚内空港到着後はターンテーブルから荷物を受け取ってすぐにバスに乗り換えて稚内市内へ
レンタサイクルを借りて今日泊まるキャンプ場に向かいますが、
キャンプ場が丘の上にあり、坂がとんでもなく急で久々に自転車から降りて押すという経験をしました（笑）
そして設営完了！ テントを張ったら鹿がでてきました！ 北海道っぽいですね～
As soon as i took my luggege at tuentable,I took a bus to wakkanai city.
I rent a cycle and went today’s campsite,but it was on top of a hill,and the slope was extremely steep,so i had to push my bike to get to the campsite.
After setting up the tent,the deer came out! Looks like Hokkaido!!!
市内を少し観光に
I did a little sightseeing around Wakkanai city.
・北防波堤ドーム Wakkanai Port North Breakwater Dome
昔、樺太までの航路の発着地として使われていた時に、波がかかるのを防ぐ目的で作られたました。
A long time ago,when it was used as a departure and arrival point for the route to Sakhalin,it was built to protect it from waves.
・稚内駅 Wakkanai Station
日本最北端の駅！ 函館まで703.3Km 東京まで1,547.9Km 北海道どんだけでかいねん。
Japan’s northernmost station
to Hakodate 703.3km , to Tokyo 1547.9km
Hokkaido is very big.
・ヤムワッカナイ温泉 港のゆ Minato no Yu Onsen
お風呂も休憩スペースも広くて漫画もあって680円！ おすすめです！！
680yen for a large bath and rest area with manga!

稚内は地理的な関係から、看板にロシア語が記載されているようです！
Did you notice? This signboard is written in Russian. because of geographical proximity.
8/16
少しだけ観光をして、作業をしていました！
天気の様子をみて、礼文→利尻で立てていた計画を利尻→礼文に変更したり、
ブログの開設をしてみたり、ほんの少しだけ単語の勉強をしたり（笑）
翌日は朝が早いので、ゲストハウスに宿泊をしました！
I was working on this day.
I looked at the weather forecast and changed my plans, opened a this blog, and studied a little English.
And since the next day was early in the morning, i stayed at a guesthouse near the ferry terminal.
キャンプ場の近くには鹿が暮らしているようでたくさん見ることができました。
There seemed to be a lot of deer living near the campsite and i saw many of them.
稚内牛乳のソフトクリームも食べました！ 濃厚で食べ応え十分！！
I ate a soft ice cream. it was rich and satisfying.
ゲストハウス モシリパでスーパーで買った食材を調理しました！
エゾシカのステーキとミズダコのお刺身！ 稚内はミズダコの水揚げ日本一！！
エゾシカは臭みもなく、赤身肉を食べてる感じでした！
でも結構顎のトレーニングになる感じでした（笑）
I cooked at the guesthouse Morishipa with ingredients bought at the supermarket.

8/17
いよいよ利尻島に上陸！！
利尻島・礼文島は友人と一緒に回るため、台風の影響を受けながらも友人と無事合流！
レンタルバイクで一周するつもりでしたが、満車でレンタサイクルで利尻島一周！
利尻島一周は約60Km！名物のラーメン・うに・ミルピスを回収しに行きます！！
finally,we landed on Rishiri Island!
i met up with a friend to go around Rishiri Island and Rebun Island with him,
and we met up safely despite the typhoon!
we had planned to rent a bike to go around Rishiri Island, but the bike was full, so we rented a bicycle to go around Rishiri Island!
The round-the-island tour of Rishiri Island is about 60km!
We are going to collect the famous ramen, sea urchin, and milpis!
利尻島一周約60Kmのうち25Kmは写真のような自転車専用道路が整備されていてとても走り易かったです！専用道路以外もアスファルト舗装された道です！
of the approximately 60km around Rishiri Island, 25km are dedicated bicycle paths like the one in the photo, which are very easy to ride! The roads other than the dedicated roads are also paved with asphalt!
利尻島には２つ町があります。
鴛泊(おしどまり):利尻富士町に位置し、ほとんどの船がここに寄港します。
沓形(くつがた)：利尻町に位置し、船の寄港は一日1便程度。飲食店などは沓形近辺の方が多いです。
サイクリングは鴛泊を出発して沓形方面に島を反時計回りに回って行きました！
There are two towns on Rishiri Island.
Oshidomari: Located in Rishirifuji Town,most ships call at this port.
Kutugata: Located in Rishiri Town,ships call at kutugata about once a day. but restaurants are more common in the Kutsugata area.
Cycling started from Oshidomari and went counterclockwise around the island in the direction of Kutsugata!
早速、利尻昆布を干している姿が見れました！
砂利の上で干しているのをイメージしていたのですが、まさかの洗濯バサミに挟んでました（笑）
おばちゃんに聞くと物によってはこっちのほうが乾くのが早いらしいです。
まあ確かに（笑）
We immediately saw them drying kelp!
We imagined they were frying it on the gravel, but i didn’t expect to see it sandwiched between clothespins!
I asked the lady about it, and she said that depending on the item, it dries faster this way.
Well, sure enough…
そしてミルピス発見！ ここまで大体、鴛泊から約50分くらい。
ミルピスは利尻島で半世紀以上販売されている乳酸飲料で原液から手作りされているそうです。
我々はミルピス・利尻昆布・ハマナス・行者ニンニクの4種類を飲みました。
利尻昆布・行者ニンニクは想像を超える味。絶対に利尻島にいったら皆さん飲んでください（笑）
どうやって作っているのか伺ったら企業秘密とのことでした（笑）
And then we found Mirpis! it takes about 50minutes from Oshidomari to here.
Milpis is a lactic acid drink that has been sold on Rishiri Island for more than half a century.
We drank four kinds of drinks: milpis,Rishiri kelp, hamanas, and gyoja garlic.
Rishiri kelp and gyoja garlic tasted beyond our imagination.if you go to Rishiri Island, you should definitely drink them!! Try it!!!
Ehen i asked hou they make it, they said it is a trade secret…
ミルピスから10分ほど自転車を漕ぐと沓形地区に到着！
沓形にはミシュランビブグルマンにも掲載された日本一いくことが難しいラーメン屋があります！
利尻ラーメン 味楽
利尻でまさかのタッチパネル注文でクレジットカード支払いもできました！（笑）
焼き醤油らーめん・ほたてカレーを食べましたが、めちゃうまでした！
久々に完飲しました（笑）
A 10-minute bike ride from Milpis will take you to the Kutsugata area!
In Kutsugata, there is a ramen that is listed in the Michelin Bibgourmand and is the most difficult to get to in Japan!
I was surprised that i could order by touch panel and pay by credit card in Rishiri!!
i had the Yaki Shoyu Ramen and Scallop Curry, and it was a real treat!
it is been a while since i drank all of it!!
ラーメンを食べた後はウニ探し！
そしてウニ探しをしていると公園にアジサイが！！！
8月にアジサイが咲いているとは、気候が本当に違いますね…
これが日本の面白いところ！！！
After eating ramen, we went looking for sea urchins!
and while we were looking for it, i saw hydrangeas in the park!
Hydrageas in bloom in August, the climate is really different…
this is the interesting thing about Japan!!
そして友人が電話して発見してくれたウニ！！
凡天：天ぷらやお蕎麦もおいしいみたいです！！
「ウニ以外が終わっちゃったよ」とラーメンとカレーで腹パンの我々には願ってもない状況（笑）
年々、ウニが不漁になっているらしく食べれるときに食べるないととのことでした！
食べてみたら、臭みもなく口の中でとろけてめちゃくちゃ美味しかったです！
食べたウニはバフンウニとのことでした！！！
タイミングよく食べれてよかった！！！
And my friend called and discovered sea urchins!
Bonten: thy also have delicious tempura and soba noodeles!
With our stomachs full after ramen and curry, we could’t help but ”jist want to eat sea urchin!” we wished!
we were told that the sea urchin catch seems to be getting scarcer every year, so we had to eat it when we could!!
when we tried it, it melted in my mouths without any smell and was very tasty!
the sea urchin we ate was called ”Buffoon sea urchin”!
i’m glad i was able to eat it at the right time!!
これで利尻で食べたいものは回収完了！！
ここからはひたすら自転車を漕ぎます！！
Now we have collected what we want to eat in Rishiri!
From now on, we will just pedal our bicycles!
オタトマリ沼：利尻島最大の湖沼
晴れたら利尻山がドーンとくるみたいです…
利尻山なくてもこれだけきれいなのでリベンジしたいですね…
そして、オタトマリ沼の近くには白い恋人の丘というのもあって、ここは白い恋人のパッケージになったポイントです！！
Otatomari-numa: the largest lake on Rishiri Island.
if it is clear, Mt.rishiri looks like it is going to be a big one…
i’d like to recisit this place because it’s so beautiful without mountain
Near the Otatomari swamp, there is Shiroikoibito hill, which is the point where the package of Shiroikoibito was made!

ここも利尻山がきれいに見れるポイントなのですが、、、
また来てねということですね（笑）
This is another point where you can see Mt.Rishiri beautifully, but…
I guess i’ll habe to come back again!!
これで利尻島一周完了！！
ご飯食べたり、観光しながらで大体7時間くらいでした！！
利尻島での2泊は、利尻島ファミリーキャンプ場「ゆ～に」でテント泊をしました。
綺麗に整備されていて、気持ちよく利用することができました！！
This completed my round trip around Rishiri Island!
It took us roughly 7 hours while eating and sightseeing!
For our two nights on Rishiri Island, we stayes in tents at the Rishiri Island family Campsite ”Yu～ni”.
It was beautifully maintained and pleasant to use!
8/18
利尻山の登山に挑戦！
往復約8時間30分 17Kmの行程です！
Challenge to climb Mt.Rishiri!
it takes about 8hours and 30minutes for a 17km round trip!
よく晴れて最高の山行になりました！
甘露泉水の湧水がめちゃくちゃ美味かった！！
キャンプ場に戻ってきてやっと利尻山の全容を見ることができました！
晩御飯を買いに町の商店に行くと、商店のおじさんと1時間以上喋ってました。笑
利尻島は森林限界が低い・昔、大火があった・国境離島についてなどなど
こういう会話を地元の方から聞くことができるのが旅の楽しいところですね！
昨日、今日と温泉はキャンプ場の隣にある利尻富士温泉に入りました！
It was a beautiful sunny day and a great mountain hike!
The sweet spring water “”Kanrosensui”” was so delicious!!
Returning to the campsite, we finally got to see the full extent of Mt. Rishiri
When we went to the town store to buy dinner, we chatted with the shopkeeper for over an hour!!
Rishiri Island has a low forest limit, there was a big fire in the past, about border islands, etc.
it is a fun part of traveling to hear these kinds of conversations from the locals!
8/17 and 8/18, we went to the Rishiri Fuji Onsen located next to the campsite!
8/19
あいにくの天気ですが、利尻山→礼文島へ移動！
礼文島は花の礼文と言われるほど花が有名で、高山植物が低い標高でも見ることができます。
一番のシーズンは6月でその時はレブンアツモリソウという礼文島でしか見ることができない花が咲くそうです。
礼文島のゆるキャラも「あつもん」
本当は7時間ほどかけてトレッキングコースを歩く予定でしたが、レンタカーでの観光に変更！
まずは宿泊するキャンプ場に行って設営！
久種湖畔キャンプ場、ここも整備がしっかりとされていて、とても良いキャンプ場でした！
Unfortunately, the weather was unfavorable, but we moves from Rishiri Island to Rebun Island!
Rebun Island is so famous for its flowers that it is called ”Flower Rebun,”
and alpine plants can be seen even at low altitudes.
The best season is in June, when a flower called ”Rebun atsumorisou”blooms,
which can only be seen on Rebun Island.
”Atsumon” is also a popular character on Rebun Island.
We had originally planned to walk the trekking course, whichi took about 7hours, but we changed the plan to sightseeing by rental car.
First, we went to the campsite where we would stay and set up!
Kusyuko Lakeside Campsite, another well-maintained campsite!
設営完了後は
金田ノ岬：タイミングが合えば、アザラシが見れるらしい！
Cape Kanetanomisaki: seals can be seen if thee timing is right!
高山植物園：約50種類の高山植物が見れたり、温度調整をして開花を遅らせたレブンアツモリソウを見ることができます！
８月中旬以降だとアツモリソウをみるのは難しそうでした…
Alpine Botanical Garden:about 50kinds of alpine plants can be seen, and you can also see the Rebun Atumoriso,whose blooming is delayes due to temperature adjustment!
it was difficult to see atsumoriso after mid-August…
お昼ご飯はホッケのちゃんちゃん焼き！
礼文ではサケではなく、ホッケをちゃんちゃん焼きに！
尻尾の方から身を崩しながら味噌と混ぜてたべます！ 米泥棒でした笑
ホッケといえば干物のイメージですが、北海道では生魚のホッケを市場で見ることができたりします！
やっぱりその地に足を運んでみると色んな見え方がしますよね！
炉ばた ちどりでホッケのちゃんちゃん焼きを食べました！
ご飯大盛で頼んだらとんでもない量でてきました笑
Lunch was chanchan-yaki of hokke!
In Rebun, hokke, not salmon, is cooked as chanchan-yaki!
The hokke is eaten by breaking off the meat from the tail and mixing it with miso paste! I was a rice thief!
When you go to the production area, you see it differently!
We had hokke chanchan-yaki at Robata Chidori!
お腹いっぱいになったあとは温泉！！
After we’ve had full,we were ready for the hot springs!
礼文島温泉うすゆきの湯は休憩スペースも広くてフェリーターミナルからも近くて使い勝手がとても良い温泉でした！
そして夕飯は地元の海鮮をたくさん食べたい！ということで、居酒屋を事前に予約しました！
Rebun Island Onsen Usuyuki no Yu was a very user-friendly hot spring with a large rest area and close to the ferry terminal!
And for dinner, we wanted to eat a lot of local seafood! So we made reservations at a tavern in advance!
居酒屋いっこん まじでおすすめです！礼文島に行く際は必ず予約をして行ってください！！
地元の漁師さんが営業をされているお店で、新鮮な魚介と地元の名物をお腹いっぱい安くたべることができます！！
刺身・ウニ・ほっけのちゃんちゃん焼き・もずく・あわび・いちご煮・ほっけの煮付けにビールと日本酒を飲んでひとり7,500円！！
ご飯は3杯おかわりしました（笑）とても安くておいしいお店です！！
Izakaya Ikkon Seriously recommended!
If you go to Rebun Island, be sure to make a reservation!
Local fishermen run this restaurant, and you can enjoy fresh seafood and local specialties at a very reasonable price!
Sashimi, sea urchin, grilled hokke, mozuku seaweed, abalone, stewed strawberry, and boiled hokke with beer and sake for 7,500 yen per person!
I had three more bowls of rice …
very inexpensive and delicious!

礼文島から稚内に戻る日です。
天気が良いので、日の出と共に行動開始！
It is the day to return to Wakkanai from Rebun Island.
The weather is fine, so we start our activities at sunrise!
スコトン岬：礼文島最北端！そして最北の民宿があるらしい…
Cape Scoton: the northernmost point of Rebun Island!
ゴロタ岬：礼文島西海岸を一望できる景勝地
Cape Gorota: A scenic spot overlooking the west coast of Rebun Island
ゴロタ岬まで歩く途中、とても礼文島らしいトレッキングコースを歩くことができます。
是非、歩いてみてください！
次は一日天気の良い日に来て、8時間コースをしっかりと歩きたいなぁ
On the way to Cape Gorota, you can walk along a trekking course that is very typical of Rebun Island.

そして名残惜しいですが、フェリーで礼文島→稚内へ！
ここでもレンタカーを借りて、宗谷岬へ！
その前にお昼ご飯！
源長でチャーメン(稚内のB級グルメ)と肉丼！
お母さんのお話がとても軽快で毒があってご飯もおいしくてまた来たいなぁと心の底からおもったお店です！！
Then, regrettably, we took a ferry from Rebun Island to Wakkanai!
Here, too, we rent a car and head to Cape Soya!
Before that, we had lunch!
We had chamen (Wakkanai’s B gourmet food) and a meat bowl at Gencho!
The mother’s story was very light-hearted and poignant, and the food was so delicious that I really wanted to come back again!
そして宗谷岬！
近くには宗谷牛が放牧されてました！！
And then Cape Soya!
Nearby, Soya cows were grazing!
友人を稚内空港まで送り届けて、一人旅再開です！
稚内には以前きたことがありますが、鉄路で首都圏を目指すのは初めて！
ワクワクしますね！
車窓からは夕日に照らされた利尻山が！
I dropped off my friend at Wakkanai Airport and resumed my trip alone!
I’ve been to Wakkanai before, but this is my first time traveling by train from Wakkanai to the metropolitan area!
I’m excited!
Mt. Rishiri lit up by the setting sun from the train window!
今日は稚内から少し南下した兜沼というところでテント泊！
兜沼オートキャンプ場は駅からも徒歩圏内でこれまたしっかりと整備されてました！
そしてここからも夕日に照らされた利尻山！めちゃキレイ！
ついた瞬間走って写真撮りにいきました！！！
Today we stayed in a place called Kabutonuma, a little south of Wakkanai!
Kabutonuma auto campsite is within walking distance from the station and is also well maintained!
Mt. Rishiri lit up by the setting sun from here! It’s so beautiful!
The moment I got there, I ran to take a picture!
キャンプ場では、バイクで帰る日を決めずに旅をしてるおじさんに、電車で来たといったらそんな奴初めて見たと驚かれました（笑）
そしてここのキャンプ場は冷えるからねぇと言われて明け方起きたら7度（笑）
８月で高所でもないのに一桁はさすがにびっくり（笑）
そのおかげか朝起きると雲海の上に利尻山！！
とても神秘的！！！
At the campsite, I told a man who was traveling by motorcycle without setting a return date that I had come by train, and he was surprised that I had never seen such a man before .
He told me that it gets cold in this campground, and when I woke up at dawn, it was 7 degrees Celsius .
I was surprised to see the temperature in single digits in August, even though we were not in a high altitude area .
But when I woke up in the morning, Mt. Rishiri was above the sea of clouds!
Very mysterious!
とまぁこんな感じで、稚内・利尻・礼文編をいったん締めくくりたいと思います。
道北は自然豊かで人の心もとても豊かなところでした！
時期を変えてまた再訪をしたいところになりました。
次回は、富良野・札幌編あたりになると思います！

Well, this is how I would like to conclude the Wakkanai, Rishiri and Rebun section.
North Hokkaido is a place rich in nature and people’s hearts are also very rich!
I would like to revisit these places again at a different time of the year.
Next time, I will write about Furano and Sapporo!
